Corridor guide · South-west Bengaluru

Mysore Road, Bengaluru:
a buyer’s guide to the
Kengeri–Kambipura corridor.

The Kengeri–Kambipura stretch of Mysore Road is Bengaluru’s south-west edge: the Purple Line metro ends here at Challaghatta, and the Bengaluru–Mysuru Expressway begins beside it. It is a corridor of colleges, hospitals and industry with new residential land behind them, and home prices that still sit below the city’s eastern and northern belts. This page gives the facts a buyer needs, with a source for each.

Facts reviewed on . Every figure carries a numbered source; distances and travel times are unit-specific and should be tested from the project gate.

Before you buy here

Six things to check
on this corridor.

The questions a careful buyer asks any builder on this road, including us.

  1. Match the RERA number on the certificate with rera.karnataka.gov.in, including the registered name and the phase the certificate covers.
  2. Ask which authority sanctioned the plan and what the khata says; this corridor crosses city and planning-authority limits, and the paper should say which.
  3. The expressway cuts both ways: ask how the project reaches it, and where the noise buffer and the service road sit relative to the homes.
  4. Walk the metro last mile at the hour you would use it. Challaghatta’s road crossing was reported as difficult pending a foot-over-bridge.
  5. Kengeri has several lakes; ask about buffer zones, storm-water handling and the site’s own drainage.
  6. Insist on two dates in writing: the RERA completion date and the builder’s own target. A builder who states both is telling you how it manages time.

Before you decide

Questions buyers ask
about this corridor.

Short answers, each tied to a source or to the project page.

Where does the Purple Line end on Mysore Road?

At Challaghatta, the western terminus, which opened on 9 October 2023 on a 2.05 km extension beyond Kengeri. Boarding at a terminus usually means a seat in the morning peak.

How far is Kambipura from Challaghatta metro?

Urban Nest states about 2 km from its canonical map pin. Measure it from the project gate at the hour you would travel, on foot and by auto.

Does the Bengaluru–Mysuru Expressway start at Kengeri?

Its city-side entry is beside Challaghatta station, next to Kengeri. The expressway is 118 km long with ten lanes including service roads and opened in March 2023.

What is the Bidadi township and should it change my decision?

It is a ₹18,133 crore, 7,481-acre integrated township approved by the Karnataka Cabinet and finally notified in June 2026, with an AI and innovation zone planned. It is contested by farmers and is years from being built. Buy on today’s connectivity; treat the township as upside, not as a reason.

Is Mysore Road good for families?

The corridor has engineering and medical colleges, a university campus, hospitals and established neighbourhoods in Kengeri and Rajarajeshwari Nagar, with the metro and the expressway for reach. The right question is the specific address: the gate, the approach road and your daily routes.

Which 5 Elements homes are on Mysore Road?

Urban Nest at Kambipura is ongoing; a boutique high-rise on Mysore Road is upcoming; Vasundra Cyber Nest and four Rajarajeshwari Nagar communities are completed and in the archive.

Which metro stations serve Rajarajeshwari Nagar?

Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Jnanabharathi and Nayandahalli on the Purple Line, all on Mysore Road; the Rajarajeshwari Nagar station sits at the neighbourhood’s Mysore Road edge. Four completed 5 Elements communities are in this neighbourhood.

Where is Global Village Tech Park and how do I reach it from Kambipura?

On Mysore Road at Mylasandra, near the RV College of Engineering campus, between the Pattanagere and Kengeri metro stations. From Kambipura it is a short drive along Mysore Road; test it at office hours.

What should I verify before booking on this corridor?

The RERA certificate and its phase, the sanctioning authority and khata, the expressway and metro approach, lake buffers, and both the RERA date and the builder’s target in writing.
